Quilting Unplugged
TIME: 3rd Monday of the month from 9:00am to 2:30pm

The focus of this group is just as it implies - no machines allowed! This is a time to finish that binding, do some applique, hand quilt, embroider etc. Anything at all that uses needle and thread and not a machine. If you want a warm inviting place to stitch and have some conversation this is for you!

The focus of this group is to explore the world of art quilts and support one another in the process. We chose several books and have begun to work through the exercises - Art Quilt by Jane Davila & Elin Waterston and Art + Quilt (Design Principles and Creativity Exercises) by Linda Kinard. During the year we will continue to work on art pieces, share our work and new techniques.

COST: There will be an additional charge to each participating member for each group you join to cover the cost of extra rental time. This cost depends on the number of people who sign up but should run about $25.00 - $35.00 per person per group for the year.
Charity Quilts
Workshops are held at various times throughout the year to produce quilts for the charities we support. As a group we provide quilts to:
- Vernon Jubilee Hospital Premature Baby Unit - each premature baby born there receives a quilt - Contact: Shirley Gregorash
- Community Care Quilts- Ministry of Family Services (for children taken into care) - Contact: Debbie Briggeman
- Trauma quilts (RCMP Victims Assistance) - Contact: Sharon Wickstrom
